- Serial E-39999 and below, HC-9 to HC-18 use probes 006-6358 H Rod 7-1/4" and 006-6357 XL Rod 8-1/4".
- Serial E-40000 and above HC-9 to HC-24 no longer have the exterior probe housing, the probes screw directly into the boiler. Use probes 006-6357 Probe 8-1/4" and 006-6364 9-1/4".
- Probe housing 006-6356 HC-9 to HC-18 up to E-39999
- Probe housing 006-6362 HC-30 to HC-48 beginning with E-40000

The Water Level Probe H Rod senses appropriate water level to avoid dry firing of heating elements. This probe will accumulate lime and should be cleaned during routine preventative maintenance.
One (1) Water Level Probe H 7-1/4" Rod per Probe Housing Assembly 006-6356 per HC-9 thru HC-18 model generator and with serial number up to E-39999.
And used with models HC-30 thru HC-48 for serial numbers E-40000 and above.
