This 18KW 480V 3PH Heating Element is required for heating operation on Mr.Steam’s Commercial CU model steam bath generators that utilize 480VAC 3PH voltage.
- Preventative maintenance every 3 months or sooner depending on usage and water quality.
- Daily blowdown – blows down at 5 pounds of pressure so take caution.
- Remove bottom element and inspect tank. If necessary, remove all elements and clean tank of lime buildup.
- Make sure drain port is not clogged.
- Clean water probes and probe isolation chamber.
- Inspect sight glass assembly. Clean or/replace as necessary.

The Heating Element boils the tank water to build pressure and create steam.
This 18KW element is used with the following models and quantities (note: some steam bath generators use a combination of more than one (1) type of KW element. For example, a CU1250 takes 1 – 12KW and 1 – 18KW):

Due to calcification and lime buildup, heating elements are a wear and tear item. Consider keeping a spare to reduce down time. Also, keep extra gasket kits on hand for preventative maintenance cleanings.
