- Serial E-39999 and below, HC-9 to HC-18 use probes 006-6357 XL Rod 8-1/4" and 006-6358 H Rod 7-1/4".
- Serial E-40000 and above HC-9 to HC-24 no longer have the exterior probe housing, the probes screw directly into the boiler. Use probes 006-6357 Probe 8-1/4" and 006-6364 9-1/4".
- Probe housing 006-6356 HC-9 to HC-18 up to E-39999
- Probe housing 006-6362 HC-30 to HC-48 beginning with E-40000

The Water Level Probe XL Rod senses appropriate water level to avoid dry firing of heating elements. This probe will accumulate lime and should be cleaned during routine preventative maintenance.
One (1) Water Level Probe XL 8-1/4" Rod per Probe Housing Assembly 006-6356 per HC-9 thru HC-18 model generator and with serial number up to E-39999.
And used with models HC-30 thru HC-48 for serial numbers E-40000 and above.
